Cooking pot (Situla)
As we can see in the Trajan's Column, each contubernium (eight soldiers) carried all the necessary implements to prepare and cook his own meals. The cooking pot (Situla) is a typical find in the roman camps, specially in Germania. Our model is made in tinned brass, and it measures 14 cm. diameter and 15 cm. high. Not suitable for cooking.
